From August 4 to 8, 2024, Dr. Anne Lesage, our PANACEA project coordinator, was honored with the Vaughan Lecture at the 63rd Rocky Mountain Conference on Magnetic Resonance.

This prestigious distinction recognizes a career marked by major contributions in the field of solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR).

Based in Lyon, Dr. Anne Lesage leads her research at the Centre de RMN à Hauts Champs, a cutting-edge center affiliated with the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS). Dr. Anne Lesage is heading a group of researchers, she specializes in the study of hyperpolarized solid-state NMR, an innovative field that is revolutionizing methods for observing molecular structures.

Established in 1979 in honor of Robert Walton Vaughan (1941-1979), a former professor of chemical engineering at the California Institute of Technology, the Vaughan Lecture series annually rewards world-renowned scientists for their outstanding contributions to solid-state NMR. This highly coveted award is granted based on nominations from within the scientific community.

Dr. Lesage has became the third woman to receive this distinction.
